It is possible to directly open an e-mail in Outlook using a simple hyperlink:

<a href="outlook:xxxxxxxxxx">Link to e-mail message</a> Where xxxxxxxxxx is the entryid of the message

For example:

<a href="outlook:00000000AF7608E5F6C0000000500000079D610E50B7146768ED111EBE53AE497EB99E4774C8175A0F010D6F00000000">open email</a>
